I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!” Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!

Intro: Where do you go when you want a time of peace?

WHAT IS THIS PLACE WITHOUT ITS OWNER?
What does “Jerusalem” mean? And what have we turned that into by our sin?

THE OWNER CAME TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE
Who is Jesus and what did He come to do?

HIS HEART FOR HIS HOME
If you had a true, eternal, amazing home, with an amazing family, what would change?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US ...

1. Worship the LORD for His gift of welcoming us into His home and into His family. Praise Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit that He designed us to live in wholeness as a family under His design and goodness.

2. How have you lived breaking God’s good design, especially when it comes to being a family member? Confess your pride and willfulness to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you and to heal you in your heart to love as He does.

3. Give thanks to Jesus for all that He chose to endure in order to get us back into His home and family. Thank Him that to gain our peace, He went into torment; that to secure us, He was cast out and killed.

4. Who do you know that exemplifies the hospitality of Jesus? Pray for them, asking the Lord to sustain them – and use them – and pray that God would help you to learn from them how to love well.

5. Ask the Holy Spirit to bear His fruit of love in you.  Pray that out of the fullness of His Spirit in you, that you would live joyfully and graciously toward others, especially in light of how He has loved you in Christ.
