Passage: 1 Samuel 11:1-15

Memory Verse for the Week: 1 Samuel 11:12-14 (ESV)

Then the people said to Samuel, “Who is it that said, ‘Shall Saul reign over us?’ Bring the men, that we may put them to death.” But Saul said, “Not a man shall be put to death this day, for today the LORD has worked salvation in Israel.” Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let us go to Gilgal and there renew the kingdom.”

A DESPERATE SITUATION

A SEARCH FOR SALVATION

THE SPIRIT OF GOD

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Praise God, who is the one true King, who is faithful to His people. Worship Him for His patience, kindness, deliverance and salvation.

2, Consider your tendency to forget that God is ready and able to save. Acknowledge the places that you have wandered and strayed. Confess your desperate need for His saving work.

3. Thank the Father for hearing your cries for help. Consider Jesus’ saving work on the cross and the deliverance that is offered to us! Who do you know that is in a desperate situation?

4. Who do you know that needs salvation? Pray for the Spirit to begin His powerful work in their life!

5. Ask the Spirit to fill you with the heart of God and the character of Christ. Pray that He would use you to bring salvation to those around you.
