Intro: How specific can your cravings be?

WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT?
How do the objects of our desire define our trajectory?

WHAT IF IT’S WARPED & TWISTED?
What if our desires are broken or hi-jacked?

REDEEMED & SATISFIED
How has Jesus worked for the redemption of our very desires and for our satisfaction?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Worship the LORD for His sufficiency and goodness. Praise Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that He is enough (vs. all enticements in this world) and that He is purely good (vs. all lies and deceptions).

2. How have you lived hungering and thirsting for what could never satisfy you while rejecting Jesus in His goodness and love? Confess your pride and folly to Him, asking for His work to forgive and renew your heart.

3. Give thanks for how Jesus has given Himself so freely for us (by His death and resurrection) to atone for our guilt. And thank Him for giving His Spirit to us, to satisfy us to the uttermost — and for all eternity.

4. Who do you know who hungers and thirsts after righteousness? Pray for them, and for the opportunity to learn from them in how they set aside the things of this world that do not suffice, and for how they seek their satisfaction in Christ.

5. Ask the Holy Spirit to bear in you His fruit of love and joy. Thank Him that He is “at work in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2) and pray for growing desires for Christ vs. the lies of this world.
