A Resurrection Perspective

March 31, 2024 Speaker: Tim Rice Series: Jesus' Passion and Resurrection

Passage: Luke 24:13-32

Memory Verse for the Week: Luke 24:25-27 (ESV)

And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Inro: What is it about loss or conflict that so captures our attention?

LOST & DISILLUSIONED
What is significant about being disillusioned?

HUMBLY INTERCEPTED
What if Jesus shows up?

INFLAMED BY A NEW LOVE
How are hearts changed when God’s Word makes sense?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Worship the LORD for His all-surpassing power! Praise and adore Him, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that He is mightier than ] all evil, our sin, death, and hell.

2. In what ways do you underestimate your own brokenness or over-estimate your own wisdom and perspective? Confess your pride and unbelief to Jesus, asking Him to wash you and heal you.

3. Give thanks to Jesus for His work to move toward us in our unbelief! Thank Him for graciously revealing His Word to us so that we could know Him and trust Him as our great God and Savior.

4. Who do you know that is disillusioned and hopeless? Ask the Lord to overcome the deadness of their soul, and to give them a sense of His living, all-powerful Grace in Jesus!

5. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see where you functionally live as if Jesus was neither punished in your place, nor raised in victory. Ask Him to change your heart and give you His joy because of the resurrection.
