Intro: Who or what has shaped your view of time?

WASTE & VANITY
What do the terms debauchery and striving after the wind mean?

GOD’S USE OF HIS TIME
If we can even properly conceive of it, how has the Eternal God used His time?

THE IMMEASURABLE GIFT, THE BEST INVESTMENT
After the Person of God, is there any greater treasure than time?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

  1. Worship the LORD, the only Eternal God, for His gift of time and His grace to enter into it. Praise Him, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that His love is from everlasting to everlasting.

  2. How have you lived foolishly or short-sightedly, wasting your time or spending it selfishly? Confess your vanity and immaturity to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you and transform your heart to be wise and loving.

  3. Give thanks to Jesus for the inexpressible mystery of His love to enter into space and time to secure for us an eternity with Him. Thank Him for using His time to buy us out of bondage and fill our emptiness with His Spirit.

  4. Who do you know who is aimless or selfish in their use of time? Pray for them, asking the Lord to meet them in their foolishness, with His saving love and wisdom.

  5. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and to transform your perspective, anchoring it more firmly in and orienting it toward Him and eternity. Pray for His fruit of love to move you away from folly and more toward the LORD and others.
