Intro: What is your relationship like with bread?
DAZZLE US!
How can we view Jesus in terms of worldly pragmatism?
HOW DOES GRACE WORK?
What does Jesus mean that those who believe in Him are “given to Him by the Father”?
WHAT DOES GRACE CAUSE?
How is Jesus’ invitation to faith humbling and reassuring?
YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …
-
Worship the LORD who generously meets our truest needs. Praise Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that He is gracious to call us to Himself at all when we’ve been so sinful and disrespectful of Him.
-
How are you demanding of God or accusing Him of not doing enough for you? Confess your pride and arrogance to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you and to open the eyes of your heart to truly see His dazzling glory.
-
Give thanks to Jesus that He is necessary as the Bread of Life, and that He came to be your Life Donor. Thank Him that He was willing to be broken and killed in order that you could be fed and made whole with His very life.
-
Who do you know that is blind to God’s kindness and power? Ask the Lord to show Himself to them, praying especially that He would use His Word, your prayers, and your love to encourage them.
-
Ask the Holy Spirit to give you a greater sense of security in Christ – that you can’t be lost and you won’t be rejected. Ask Him to grow you in humility as well, since your standing in Christ is an absolute gift.
