Intro: When were you last undeniably weak?

INSIDE OUT, UPSIDE DOWN
How can we get faith all wrong?

SOVEREIGN MERCY
How does Jesus show saving grace?

THE HUMBLE BELIEVE
How does God use our experiences of need?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

  1. Worship the LORD for His wisdom, power and love to heal our deepest heart sickness, from death and the curse of sin. Praise Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that He is holy as the LORD our Healer.
  2. How have you lived in unbelief, resisting the exposure of your vulnerability, or resenting God for your sufferings? Confess your pride to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you, and to secure you in His Grace instead.

  3. Give thanks to Jesus for both His ability and His will to save sinners like us! Thank Him that vs. cruelty or the power-brokering of men (modernism or post-modernism), that Jesus’ work to heal reveals the nature of His rule.

  4. Who do you know who is sick, or cares for someone they love who is? Pray for them, asking the Lord to work for their healing, but especially to fill their sufferings with His saving Grace — and to give you compassion for them in their hardship.

  5. Ask the Holy Spirit to work in you insight into how the LORD graciously works through suffering, and even death. Pray for insight into the Gospel as He is merciful, and yet does not work immediately to heal everyone from every ill.
