How does Jesus work to redeem us, precisely through suffering?

WHAT FREE PEOPLE DO
How can Jesus set us free, even in the face of unjust treatment?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Worship the LORD, as the only just Judge of all creatures and all their actions. Praise Him, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that by His saving work that evil will be stopped, and rebels can be redeemed.

2. How have you lived stubbornly resisting submitting to your Maker and good authorities that He has placed you under? Confess your pride and unbelief to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you and soften your heart.

3. Give thanks to Jesus for humbling Himself willingly in order to save your life. Thank Him for submitting to the Father to die where we should die, and for fulfilling all obedience joyfully where we should’ve obeyed to break our bondage to sin.

4. Who do you know who resists being submissive to God’s good design? Pray for them, asking the Lord to open their eyes to their pride, and that He would change their heart to trust Him instead of themselves.

5. Ask the Holy Spirit to bear in you His fruit of love and faithfulness. Pray for a soft heart vs. a hard heart, and ask the Spirit to empower you to live out of Jesus’ trust in His Father, especially when your circumstances are humbling.
