The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

INTRO: Have you ever played a game of hide and seek where your life depended utterly upon your being found?

THE DAY OF THE LORD IS NEAR AND DESERVED
What is there in your life that you’d love to hide from God?

SEEK THE LORD - WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND 
What does it mean to honestly and humbly seek the Lord?

THE LORD WHO HIDES ME
If God hides me from the wrath I deserve, how are my relationships now different?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Worship the Lord that He is mighty to save and rejoices over you with gladness even while we run headlong into our sin. Praise Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit for His unfailing love.
2. How have you half-heartedly sought the Lord and avoided the essential encouragement of His people? Confess to the Lord and ask Him to grant you humility and earnestness.
3. Give thanks to Jesus who bore our shame when we were shameless, who lived righteously while we were complacent in our self-righteousness, and who humbled Himself at the cross to make us renowned among the nations.
4. Who do you know that is complacent in their faith? Pray for them, asking God to awaken them out of their slumber to seek the Lord.
5. Ask for the Holy Spirit’s help to genuinely rest in Jesus’ finished work that saved you, to bask in the Father’s incredible joy and gladness over you, and to be quieted by the Spirit’s reminding you that you are radically loved by God.
