YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Worship the LORD for His compassion toward His enemies—of whom we are the foremost! Praise Him, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that by His severe mercy, we are rescued from judgement.
2. How have you lived as though your righteousness exceeds that of your neighbors? Confess your pride and arrogance, asking the Spirit to let mercy flow through you toward others.
3. Give thanks to Jesus that he did do well to be angry, not stewing or wallowing, but an anger that only produced good. An anger that led to the cross where he eviscerated our enemies once and for all.
4. Who do you know that is living licentiously and cruelly like the Ninevites? Pray for them, asking the Lord to shower them with His grace. Ask also that you’d be a friend who wouldn’t judge them for their way of living but would love them and pray for them in the midst—hoping for renewal.
5. Ask the Holy Spirit to work into you a posture of contentment that the Lord is sovereign, and you are not, and that is a really good thing. Pray for humility – at your own forgiveness in Christ – that you can weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice.
