Passage: Matthew 28:18-20

Memory Verse for the Week: Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

INTRO: How do you think about your personal life mission?

THE NEED FOR REDEMPTION
What does it mean for us to own the lostness of our geography?

“IT IS FINISHED — HE IS RISEN”
Why do we believe that there is any hope against such great need and such profound unbelief?

GOD’S GRACE APPLIED
Therefore, with such a hope, how do we proceed?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

  1. Worship the LORD for His graciousness to include us in His mission of redemption. Praise His, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that with His all-surpassing power, that He has structured His mission in such a way as to include us in it.
  2. How have you lived unto yourself, either empty and aimless or willful and determined to reach your own goals? Confess your pride and unbelief to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you and change you with His eternal love and purpose.
  3. Give thanks to Jesus for His saving authority and work. Thank Him that He is alive and trustworthy and that in His almighty power, Jesus has not destroyed you in your sin but instead has worked to save you.
  4. Who do you know that tends to be without purpose? Ask the Lord to overcome the deadness of their soul and give them a sense of His life and power, and to give you wisdom and even words as to how you can encourage them.
  5. Ask the Spirit to bear in you His fruit of love and goodness. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you greater insight into Jesus’ resurrection and His commission of you to take part in His eternal mission here in space and time.

The Facilitator is a study tool designed to help you engage with the weekly sermon through the five elements we incorporate in our Community Groups; Get Acquainted & Sharing, Sermon Study, Mission, Worship and Prayer.
