YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Worship the LORD and Giver of life for His incomparable generosity. Praise Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for giving us all we have, for giving us mercy in Christ, and for taking us into His very home and family.
2. How have you lived ignoring how richly God has moved toward you, and instead you’ve been tight-fisted or transactional with others? Confess your pride and unbelief to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you and change your heart.
3. Give thanks to Jesus for His stunning generosity vs. our pathological selfishness. Thank Him for giving Himself for us on the Cross to atone for our sins, and for giving Himself to us by His Spirit to heal our brokenness.
4. Who do you know that is generous, and how can you learn from them? Pray for them, asking the Lord to bless them and to give you a teachable heart toward them, so that you could learn to follow them in giving.
5. Ask the Holy Spirit to bear in you His fruit of love, joy and goodness. Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-12, and pray for the Spirit’s help to trust God’s “sufficiency in all things at all times,” that you may abound in every good work.
