THE TALE OF TWO WOMEN
THE TALE OF TWO COVENANTS
STAND FIRM IN FREEDOM
YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …
- Worship the LORD for how He has decided to relate and bind His people to Himself through an eternal covenant! Ponder and enjoy the reality that in Christ, we cannot be in a more secure, steady, prosperous, full, joy-filled relationship than the one we have with our Maker.
- Confess the reality that though you are made new and made his free child, you choose and operate under the covenant of slavery. Worship the Lord and confess your sin in all the ways you live and operate as if it is your obedience or disobedience that defines your relationship with your God.
- Give thanks to Jesus for being your redeemer! Thank Him for his free sacrificial offering to represent you as a covenant breaker and take the penalty of God’s wrath you deserve and give you his covenant-keeping record of being perfectly righteous.
- Pray on behalf of your friends, family, and enemies who live under the bondage of slavery. Pray that they would wake up and that freedom is not achieved through their merit but only through the gift of grace.
- Ask and beg for the Holy Spirit’s help to be a man or woman who more and more live in the forever freedom of the grace of God given to them in Jesus. Ask for the Spirit’s help to live in the reality that you are forever and always God’s beloved child and for that to fuel you for joy-filled obedience to the law of God that he has called you to.
The Facilitator is a study tool designed to help you engage with the weekly sermon through the five elements we incorporate in our Community Groups; Get Acquainted & Sharing, Sermon Study, Mission, Worship and Prayer. This tool will be made available Monday morning to give us the opportunity to look back at what we heard on Sunday.
