Memory Verse for the Week: Galatians 4:18-20 (ESV)
It is always good to be made much of for a good purpose, and not only when I am present with you, my little children, for whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth until Christ is formed in you! I wish I could be present with you now and change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.

INTRO: If your disagreements were a weather system …
A SHARED DIGNITY & STATUS
As God’s creation and as His redeemed children, what dignity and status do we share?
FOOLISH DEGRADATION
By pride or fear, wavering in unbelief, how do we needlessly submit ourselves to slavery and humiliation?
TRUTH & GRACE
By the Gospel, how does Jesus love us and position us to love others?
YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …
- Worship the LORD for His sufficiency and His authority. Praise Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit that while there is no good thing apart from Him, there is nothing we need that He has withheld from us in Christ.
- How have you lived manipulatively towards people and God rather than seeking their well-being? Confess your instinct to use others as selfish and corrupt, asking Jesus to forgive you and change your heart motives.
- Give thanks to Jesus for how He meets our deepest needs, taking away the very reason we would ever be self-centered! Thank Him for making much of us through His death and resurrection to cleanse us and heal our souls.
- Pray for our country, especially in our culture’s deep trend toward autonomy or independence. Ask the Lord to have mercy on our land, that He would pour out His Spirit on us and move us to repent and return to Him as a people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to bear His fruit of love and joy in you. Give thanks and pray for His perspective in truth (that we were profoundly guilty and wrong) and grace (that, nevertheless, He has loved and saved us).
The Facilitator is a study tool designed to help you engage with the weekly sermon through the five elements we incorporate in our Community Groups; Get Acquainted & Sharing, Sermon Study, Mission, Worship and Prayer. This tool will be made available Monday morning to give us the opportunity to look back at what we heard on Sunday.
