Why do leaders matter and why don’t they matter?

What is the Gospel and what is not the Gospel?

WARNING
When it comes to the Gospel, we cannot fall asleep at the wheel.

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Worship the Lord for his gracious provision of “messengers” whom He uses to proclaim His word and reveal His glorious person and gracious works to us, especially His work of salvation in Jesus.

2. Confess how easily you are distracted from the Gospel and allow yourself to be troubled by counterfeits that offer no hope and steal glory from God.

3. Give thanks for the grace of God in Christ that, through His death, deals wholly with the penalty and the power of sin.  Recall often how the Cross of Christ is the only way you can get right with God, and the Spirit of Christ is the only way you can walk right with God.

4. Who in your life do you know who is troubled because the “Gospel” they have bought into is really no Gospel at all. How can you be an instrument of God’s grace, leading to an invasion of His peace in their life?

5. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you clarity and courage to stand firm in and for the Gospel of God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as He is revealed to us in Scripture alone, and all of this to the glory of God alone.
