Passage: Ephesians 4:1-7

Memory Verse for the Week: Ephesians 4:1-3 (ESV)

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Intro: What is the significance of belonging?

NEW EXPECTATIONS
What is the impact of God’s kind of love?

ONE WITH GOD AND HIS PEOPLE
What is the highest joy you can possibly conceive? What’s the greatest beauty you could experience? What is the greatest Treasure that can be possessed?

HOLD NOTHING BACK
If this is how God, in Christ, has treated us, what should be our instinct either as individuals or collectively as His Church?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US …

1. Praise God that in the Gospel He offers to take us unto Himself, and adopt us into His family. Worship Him, Father, Son and Holy Spirit for not only loving us but enabling us to build up others in love also.

2. How have you isolated yourself from the helpful influence of other believers? Confess your autonomy or evasion to Jesus, asking Him to forgive you and move your heart toward Him and others.

3. Read Ephesians 3:10-21. Ask the Father to show you just how rich you are in the gospel! Ask Him to help you grasp the surpassing worth of Christ and His body – the church.

4. Who do you know that has helped you in your faith and growth in Christ? Pray for them, asking the Lord to encourage and sustain them in their faithfulness and love.

5. Ask the Spirit to bear in you His fruit of love and goodness. Pray that He would enable you to reach out to get to know someone within our body that you do not currently know and encourage them.

Looking Back

The Facilitator is a study tool designed to help you engage with the weekly sermon through the five elements we incorporate in our Community Groups; Get Acquainted & Sharing, Sermon Study, Mission, Worship and Prayer. This tool will be made available Monday morning to give us the opportunity to look back at what we heard on Sunday.
