Passage: Hebrews 11:32-39, Judges 4:1-23

Memory Verse for the Week: Hebrews 11:32-34 (ESV)

And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets—who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.

Intro: Where do you feel broken and weak?

OUR WEAKNESS
What do we bring to the table?

GOD’S STRENGTH
What does God bring to the table?

THE UNLIKELY PATH TO STRENGTH
How does faith lead to strength in our weakness?

YOU CAN PRAY WITH US ...

1. Praise God for how unlike us He is. Our weakness reveals God's power to save.

2. How have you tried to fix your weakness in your own strength? In what ways do you doubt God's ability to save weak people? Confess this pride and unbelief, acknowledging that Jesus died for us "while we were still sinners.”

3. Give thanks to Jesus for the ways that He took weakness upon Himself, in order that we might be united with the Father.

4. Who do you know that is struggling with weakness right now? Pray that the Lord would be their strength and hope in the midst of their trials.

Looking Back

The Facilitator is a study tool designed to help you engage with the weekly sermon through the five elements we incorporate in our Community Groups; Get Acquainted & Sharing, Sermon Study, Mission, Worship and Prayer. This tool will be made available Monday morning to give us the opportunity to look back at what we heard on Sunday.
