Why Community Groups?
In Community Groups we experience Jesus Christ through mutual ministry. The Community Groups at Trinity are the primary place where care and shepherding occur, and where we take the truths of scripture from Sunday morning and apply them to our lives. We need a small community of believers to help us, pray for us, encourage us and disciple us to follow after Jesus.
They are a place where individual transformation occurs at the heart level. Community Groups are a people being transformed who are on mission to transform their city with the gospel of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, and are engaged in discipleship and spiritual disciplines. (Community Bible Reading, Prayer...etc). In these groups, trained leaders facilitate gospel-centered community around five elements:
More than just a meeting; a community that bears burdens and celebrates successes
Studies that would encourage each other's personal pursuit of God in the ways He has designed
Adoring God the Father, Confessing Our Sin, Giving Thanks to Jesus and asking Holy Spirit to transform us
Responding to His Character, His Plan and Our Fit
Not just a vision to create a great church, but a great city
Our groups meet regularly, Labor Day through Memorial Day. Many of our groups are open to new members. Feel free to contact the leaders of any of our groups, or contact our Community Group Director, Luke Wolfe at firstname.lastname@example.org, for guidance in taking the next step into Gospel-Centered Christian Community.
