Renew Polk Worship Service September 24

Trinity Family,

In 1996, Trinity was planted with the hope of becoming a church that would plant churches and those churches would plant churches and so on. We believe that the best way to change our county is to continue planting dynamic, gospel-centered churches. So, over the past 20 years, Trinity has planted four churches - Christ Community Lakeland, Redeemer Lakeland, Redeemer Winter Haven and Strong Tower Lakeland. Now those churches have begun to plant churches. As of today, there are five churches scheduled to plant in Polk County with the hope of planting twenty churches in the next twenty years. This initiative is called Renew Polk.

Renew Polk is not something that pastors and church planters are responsible for. It will take all of us. So please join us Sunday, September 24, 6:30p at Trinity for a Vision & Prayer Gathering. It will be a time to sing and celebrate what God is doing among us, to hear reports from lay leaders in our church plants about the work they’re doing and how we might all be involved. Ted Powers, Director of Church Planting for Mission to North America, will speak to encourage us and re-energize us towards the work. And, most importantly, we will pray.

This Vision & Prayer Gathering is an opportunity for you to become more familiar with the work happening in our area. The gospel is bearing fruit and growing among us (Col 1:6). Come and celebrate with us and dream about how you might become more involved. I hope you will join us.
